:- 1.0 out of 5 stars from Kelly London -- Least favorite Sandra Brown book EVER : Long, meandering, unlikeable charactors, ridiculous plot, thought it would never end. I barely made it to the end. This is the worst SB book I have ever read and I have read them ALL. ( Reviewed in the United States on August 5, 2021 )
- 3.0 out of 5 stars from Adrian -- Too Long and blah : This book was just ok and way too long. The characters were fine overall. There were some violent scenes that were unnecessary and it just didn’t feel like what I expected from Sandra in 2021. It is written in the prohibition era but in this pandemic era (home confinement), I’m not interested in a book whose overall theme is bootleg/illegal liquor. Sandra did fine with the story but I am definitely let down. I was really excited for her next book. Now, I’m excited…. for her next book. Still a fan but would not recommend this book. - 5.0 out of 5 stars from Kindle Customer -- Very "real" people : I've enjoyed most of Ms. Brown's novels, and I loved this one. The people are real. Some you'll like, some you'll dislike. Most of her books are clearly not just thrown together, with a shallow plot held together by detailed bedroom scenes and an overuse of tough-guy, tough-girl unpalatable language. Well written, well researched. I really enjoyed this book! ( Reviewed in the United States on August 3, 2021 )
- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Carol L. Hoefs -- Bootlegging, mystery, corruption and romance : Sandra brown has written a fantastic story that happens shortly after WW I and takes place in Texas. The story involves bootleggers who are constantly fighting to take over the other business from other bootleggers, It involves corrupt politician and law enforcement. Blind Tiger has a mixture of everything, and you will not be disappointed. If you want action and intensity, read Blind Tiger. Sandra Brown has a great with this book. - 5.0 out of 5 stars from Slick -- Outstanding story : Blind Tiger has unexpected twists and turns that keep the reader wondering, “What’s next?” A well crafted plot revolves around two of its main characters. Staying true to her style, scenes of steamy action add to the intensity of the storyline. Drawing on local history even few native Texans know, adds the right amount of authentic color. I might guess which town is portrayed, as my own roots are deep nearby. Sandra did it again. This one should another best seller. An enjoyable throughout. Keep’em coming Sandra. - 5.0 out of 5 stars from Judy -- Blind Tiger : 1920's, prohibition, speakeases , bootleggers, moonshine and greed in a small town in Texas makes for a terrific story. Even the wars between the competition of the out of the way bars and back rooms, to the pleasure house in the upper floors. Alk of this made this book an excellent read. - 5.0 out of 5 stars from Lori S -- An Interesting Historical Read : This is something the I never would have selected had it not been a Sandra Brown. I'm really happy I did, it was interesting, educational and enjoyable. ( Reviewed in the United States on August 6, 2021 )
- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Elke Simons-Yarbrough -- Sandra Brown Rocks The Roaring Twenties! : I’ve read everyone of Sandra Brown’s books and they’ve always been a great read. But hands down this is my favorite. The research done on the post war twenties was spot on, thanks to politics and prohibition the years from 1920 to 1933 were lawless for a huge portion of the population in the USA. Lawmen and average citizens straddled both sides of the law and Ms. Brown captured all the nuances of that. She tells a very simple story, that of an honorable man caught up in a turf war between dishonorable lawmen, moonshiners and everyday citizens in a small town in Texas. And she does it beautifully. - 3.0 out of 5 stars from JENNA KIRBY -- Too many people and boring reading it but could stop anytime, too much info : Too much information on making prohibited whisky and not enough info on main characters who aren’t particularly interesting, ( Reviewed in the United Kingdom on November 14, 2021 )
